Does the US stand a chance? at Film, Gadgets, and Geekdom

Well, Groups A through D are finished. Germany (from Group A) will be playing Sweden in the Round of 16. England will be playing Ecuador. So, chances are Germany and England are going to the Quarter Finals. Germany will have to fight HARD to beat Sweden since they are, apparently, the kings of the corner kick. Sweden scored both of their goals off corner kicks. The Group B was determined by a match between England and Sweden where they both scored 2 goals against the other team. So, yeah, it did end up in a draw. The final match of Group A was Germany vs. Ecuador and Germany destroyed Ecuador 3 - 0. Considering how they’ve been playing, Germany and England need to step up their game.

Ok, so let’s talk about the USA’s chance. Their first game was lost to the Czech Republic 3 - 0. Then they tied Italy 1 - 1. Now they have to play Ghana. Now, Italy beat Ghana 2 - 0, but Ghana defeated the Czech Republic 2 - 0. So, judging from the performance of the three other teams in Group E… you really can’t predict what will happen. My prediction is that the US will win 1 - 0. Now just because the US wins the match against Ghana doesn’t mean they will go to the Round of 16, for that to happen, Italy has to beat the Czech Republic. There is actually a pretty good chance of that happening, but if the US does go to the Round of 16, they will be matching Brazil. Shitty luck for the US, I will admit.

Well, other than the FIFA World Cup ( I sure hope you guys knew that’s what I was talking about ) there’s really nothing else going on. So, I’m outty.
