So, how was your Christmases? Lexy and mine was pretty fun and interesting. There was a rather childish incident at Lexy’s father’s side of the family. Most of you know about it as we have relayed the story. It was very possibly the most childish thing I have ever seen grown men do. Other than that, everything else was pretty fun. On Friday, we went to St. Peters to meet some family at Joe’s Crab Shack. We had to get there by noon, so you can imagine when we had to leave Warrensburg. We got there and had a rather good time. One of my cousins was kind of an asshole because he left the whole dinner before his food got to the table. I don’t know what his problem was, but I really don’t care. If he wasn’t man enough to stay at the table, and was such a pussy that he had to hang out outside the whole time, then fuck him. My other cousin was just fine, but she’s a lot of fun anyway. We then exchanged gifts, it seems everyone was happy.
I’m sorry, I’m gonna have to sum everything up. I’m watching this rather fascinating movie called The World’s Fastest Indian with Sir Anthony Hopkins. Very interesting movie. I’m testing out the HD-DVD drive for my Xbox 360 with this disc and it seems to be working just peachy. I can notice the graininess of a regular DVD and will have to compare this with a movie on an HD-DVD that wasn’t filmed in HD. I hear even movies shot on film look better on HD-DVD than SD-DVD (Standard Definition DVD).
As for the Christmas weekend, Lexy and I had a lot of fun overall and got a lot of really good stuff. I hear everyone else had a good time too. That’s always good to hear. Well, back to the movie. Very interesting, check it out.
I just got back from a long weekend of non-stop Christmas celebration. Lexy and I got some pretty nice stuff. Most notably, the HD-DVD add on for the Xbox 360. I set it up and plugged it in and put in the King Kong HD-DVD. It looks fantastic. I will go over everything else I got when we get sorted out and I have slept well enough to not be tired. I hope everyone had a good Christmas and if you haven’t done the whole Christmas thing yet, then I hope you have a good one. If you don’t do Xmas, then disregard this. ;)
Sherlock Holmes - The Awakened
Mr. Holmes going after a cult that worships Cthulhu. I gotta get in on that. Even though I’m tired of hearing Cthulhu this and that when it comes to H.P. Lovecraft. Apparently that’s the only thing anyone knows about Mr. Lovecraft’s work. It’s pretty sad, but the game appears to be pretty cool and (Lexy might perk up at this) Myst-like.
I thought it was very funny and so very true.

So, I found on the internet on how to use your Wii remote to do various things on your computer. One method you could do is use a “sensor bar” (actually an IR source) to use the Wiimote as a mouse. I got it to work successfully by using two candles. That’s right, candles. It works, I swear. I also got the Wiimote to navigate through Google Earth by shear Wiimote commands alone. The most interesting one, though, is using the Wiimote as a remote to control Winamp globally. That means if the computer is doing something else that puts Winamp in the background, it will still control it. That’s pretty badass to me.
So, for you tech heads out there who haven’t heard of this, the Wiimote, it turns out uses Bluetooth to communicate with the Wii. Actually, it uses the IR source from the sensor bar, combines it with the gyros and accelerometers inside the Wiimote and transmits all that to the Wii via Bluetooth to give the console a very accurate sense of where the remote is pointing on screen and how it’s 3D position. So, since the Wiimote uses Bluetooth, some crafty bugger out there figured out that a Bluetooth-equipped computer could communicate with the remote under the right circumstances. Turns out that I have those right circumstances. :D So, I’ve been messing around with the various functionalities I can do with the Wiimote. The computer uses a program called GlovePIE to tell the Wiimote what to do. Now, you need to get scripts for the program so the program knows what to tell the Wiimote to do. There are many scripts out there for the Wiimote, but I would imagine a lot of you wouldn’t really ever have the need for it. I just think it’s novel, though I probably won’t be using it that much either. You never know, though, there might be some super cool script written that would make my life on a computer easier. I doubt it, but hey, we all can dream.
I turned on the TV today to watch some decent shows and ‘X-Play’ was on. Now, I really hate G4 because of what they have done to video game shows. The only reason it was tuned to that channel is because I record ‘Ninja Warrior.’ I just wish that G4 would play the original full hour of ‘Ninja Warrior,’ but then that would make them a decent network and they can’t have that can they? So, I was temporarily affixed by the evil forces of ‘X-Play’ because it just kept making me mad. I don’t know why, but just listening to that bitch and that bitch who is allegedly a female just makes me want to drop kick them until they are the consistency of pudding. I quickly turned on ‘The Simpsons’ and I was appeased, but as soon as the episode was over, there went my blood pressure. They were talking about the Wii and I just couldn’t continue to watch as I’m sure I would get beyond angry with the show. I just really hate how pompous and know-it-all the hosts of G4’s shows are. As if their word is that last word that needs to be said on anything video game related. GOD DAMMIT!!! They just won’t quit. It makes me want to kill… them. Even when they were talking good about “Madden ‘07″ on the Wii it was still beyond angering. Watching their video game review shows makes me want to make my own show. I bet a show with John and I or John and Steve would be a pretty badass one. That’s it. I will begin work on a show and make John help. Then, we will put what we have done past Steve and Adam, let them make their suggestions and changes. Then we shoot, edit, and send it to G4. I’m doing it. Anyone who wants to help out, you are welcome. Yeah, we’ll probably get denied, but at least we’ll have tried. I’ve never wanted to spite someone so badly that I made me want to actually go do something. Maybe we’ll actually create something good, you never know. Ok. I’m off. Kinda hungry and tired of thinking of ways to keep this subject going.
I have noticed that I have been pissing off Lexy more and more lately. Today, I changed by mind from Chinese food to Hardee’s and she freaked out and got pissed at me. She even slammed the door when she left to go to Wal-Mart. I don’t know what I’ve been doing wrong. I didn’t think changing my mind was such a big idea, but I guess it is. I sometimes go nuts and loose my temper, but I usually quickly reel it back in, but I didn’t think I was all that combative today. Maybe because I feel a little tired, I don’t realize just how bad I’m acting. I don’t know anymore. Sometimes, I would really like to be told what I’m doing wrong.
I am done with classes for the semester. Yeah, I still have a couple of finals to take, but who gives a rat’s ass. They are Tuesday and Wednesday at 11am. Shouldn’t take me but a half hour to finish either of the two. Then it’s all vacation. Sweet. Then it’s time to buckle down next semester. Once I buckle down, I should be ok.
On one last note, I’ll leave you with this:
Have a good day. :D
I was talking to Joey about the Wii and how fun it was. He told me that he was holding out for a PS3. Ok, fine. I told him that the PS3 isn’t all that good and he… fucking laughed at me. Some of you may not know this, but I am very prideful and someone laughing at me kinda pisses me off. Especially someone who doesn’t know what they are talking about. So, I decided that I am going do a little research on the situation. It turns out that the general consensus that I have found is the Xbox 360 is better in terms of game performance than the PS3. I found a couple of links, but I will warn you, they can be kinda in depth.

It seems the 360 was developed with game programmers in mind and apparently the amount of loads required to run those games is better served by the 360’s three general purpose CPUs rather than the PS3’s seven DSP CPUs and one general purpose CPU.
I personally find the 360’s controllers much more comfortable for me than the PS3. Now, I haven’t held a PS3 controller, but I have played the PS2. The controller is the exactly the same, except the PS3’s controllers are wireless. I’ve played First Person Shooters (FPSs) on the 360 and the PS2. I have to say that Microsoft has a much better controller design than Sony.
However all of this is personal preference. So, if you are a Sony fan, then that’s ok, you have your own preferences, but at least admit that game designers will have to work long and hard to develop a new coding method to take full advantage of the PS3’s power. Also, don’t be a fanboy and a retard. Respect other people’s opinion.
You will fucking LOVE the Volume 4 DVDs. I am watching the first disc right now as we have it from Netflix. Two of the episodes have extra stuff that they were forced to cut because Fox is full of tight cornholed bitches. Like the episode, “The Fat Guy Strangler,” they sing the NAAFP anthem. Totally cut out of the broadcast version and HILARIOUS. Also, on the episode, “PTV” they have an extra show that Peter made called “Douchebags.” Take a guess what it’s making fun off. They added a whole couple of bits to the episode that made it SO much more funny. Not to mention that none of the episodes are censored unless it’s part of the gag. You know, in “PTV” when the FCC censors real life with the soccer horn. I am gonna finish watching this disc and then watch the episodes with the commentaries turned on. I don’t generally do that, but I do enjoy the commentaries from the “Family Guy” creators. Back to “Family Guy.”
