Well, a couple of thing tuned me to this fact that I might actually be a nerd. First, that I was getting upset at my US History professor because of how general she is with things. Second, that I am actually excited about the prospect of starting a game store here in Warrensburg. Third, I spent most of today trying to find info and things online about how to make maps for miniature or role-playing games. Fourth, I am going to rewire Dave’s rental house with ethernet and coaxial cable. Fifth, that I have enough coaxial cable to rewire a house. Sixth, that I am friends with someone who has enough ethernet cable to rewire his house. Seventh, that I am typing out a detailed list of why I am a nerd. To be fair, however, four through seven were though up on the fly.
Pretty much, though, that’s what has been going on with me. I am going to attempt to rewire Dave’s house with coaxial cable. We’ll see how that goes. First, however, he wants to replace all the outlets in the house with three prong plugs to replace a houseful of two prongs. I don’t blame him. We’ll probably end up doing that first.
Dave brought up the idea of opening a game shop in Warrensburg. I think it’s a good idea if we do it right. The first hurdle is getting the capital to start. I’m thinking we are looking at a small business loan, which I’m not too excited about, but oh well. The whole idea is to take the loan out in the name of the company so if the store tanks, then we won’t get hit. I’m not sure things actually work like that though. I actually want to keep Lexy as far away from this fiasco as possible. She just got out of credit troubles and I don’t want her to be affected by a bankrupt business. Kind of a safety net dealio for both of us. I hope this idea doesn’t get interrupted by Dave going off to the military again. Anyway…
I’m gonna hit the hay now… I have to go to class in the morning and sit through a half a class on WWI and a video on the ’20s. One day on WWI after two on Progressivism and damn near a week on Immigration… ridiculous.
Ever want to rewatch that one episode, but it never seems to be on TV ever? Well, now you can wait enormous amounts of time for these streaming episodes to show up. Check out these sites.

I was in the ol’ History 1351 course taking the ol’ Exam 1 and I noticed something about the format of the test. What did I notice you ask? That it wasn’t consistent. Ok, it’s a multiple choice test, which is fine. Ok, you have a MC test and the format should be something like this:
1) Question number one has some kind of question.
a) answer A
b) answer B
c) answer C
d) answer D
Ok? Makes sense, right? The issue that comes is when the question format changes on every other question. So, you have a few question like the one above, but then you have other question like this:
2) This is question number two. What is blah blah blah. a) answer A b) answer B c) answer C d) Answer D
See what I mean now? Fucking ridiculous. Then there were two questions that wrapped to the next page. This is very distracting. Say it’s a difficult question and you’ve narrowed it down to the two possible answer, but they are on two different page. That would irritate you wouldn’t it? I know it irritated me.
So, why does this mean the professor doesn’t respect you? Well, this is why: the test is obviously copied and pasted together. If the test is copied and pasted that means the professor just didn’t care about the test nor the students taking said test. When I finished the test and addressed this issue to the professor, all she said was, “Well that’s the format.” This enraged me beyond all possible limits. Just another piece of evidence that this professor doesn’t respect her students.
I hate that bitch.
I’m sitting down to watch Lucky # Sleven and I decide to go against my pattern and watch the previews on the disc. Well, first I find that this movie is a Weinstein production which I have issues with for an entirely other reason. Well, one of the previews is for The Protector with Tony Jaa. Who, by the way, is my new favorite action hero. Well, the CORRECT name for the movie is Tom-Yum Goong which in Thai may mean The Protector, but I really wouldn’t believe it unless someone fluent in Thai said so. The preview said Only in Theatres, which, as we all know, is complete bunk. No movie is “Only in Theatres.” Besides that it’s completely false, it’s a total lie. I have the DVD. I have that movie on DVD sitting in my collection. I’ve watched it… twice. Also, the new Jet Li movie, “Fearless,” I have that one on DVD too. Let me tell you something. The previews for that movie does not represent that movie at ALL. The film is completely different than the impression you get from the American previews. Don’t get me wrong, the movie is great, but it may disappoint a few. Also, it’s isn’t Jet Li’s final movie as many would have you believe. It’s his final “Martial Arts epic,” which means it’s his final Once Upon a Time in China type movie, or final historical China kung fu movie if you will. He is currently in a movie that is in post right now called Rogue. It seems like your typical American martial arts action film, but I haven’t seen a lot about it. As I like Jet Li, I will be seeing it, but I haven’t decided whether or not I will see it in theatres. So, remember, if a movie that obviously originated in Asia somewhere is being advertised here and you want to see it, check eBay.
Oh, and one last couple of things. You may be wondering why I hate the Weinstein Company. Well, it mostly has to do with them grabbing up perfectly good films, slapping their name on it, and calling it theirs. I have the same problem with Quentin Tarantino in this same respect. I also have the hugest problem with the Weinstein Company funding a remake of the classic Akira Kurosawa film Seven Samurai. This movie does need to be remade, it was fine the way it was. You also don’t need to be adding Chinese actors such as Donnie Yen and Zhang Ziyi. Not that I have anything against the Chinese, but this is a movie about Japanese samurai… really, it’s insulting. You REALLY don’t need caucasion actor George Clooney. Who by the way is doing another Ocean’s movie… you guessed it: Ocean’s Thirteen. Apparently the Seven Samurai remake will be “slightly updated,” and will feature lots of fun, “CGI-enhanced fight scenes.” You know what I have to say to that? BOOOOOOO! That’s what I have to say to that. Boo. boo.
Here’s a link. It’s about the Seven Samurai remake. boo.
