I’ve been playing the new Xbox 360 game Dead Rising recently. I have to say that it is fan-fucking-tastic. I mean, it can be very, VERY annoying, but can be very, very amusing and fun too. Any time you can grab up a shower head, stick it in a zombies dome and shower said zombie with his own blood until he dies… that’s a good time in my book. Or beat down a crowd of zombies with a baseball bat. Or literally mow down a gaggle of zombies with a lawn mower. Or beat a zombie with a sledgehammer. Or cut a zombie in half with a battle axe or katana. Or jump kick a zombie. Or hit a golf ball into a zombies head. Or bash a zombie with a bowling ball. Or ride a zombie. I could go on and on and on, but I think you get the point. The game is very akin to Grand Theft Auto… with zombies… in a mall… with a LOT of weapons options. You play a free lance photographer who comes to this small town in Colorado for a strange story. Not long after you get dropped on top of a mall, you have to deal with zombies and wait three days (72 hours) for the helicopter to come back. The game does have some sort of story line that I think you have to follow. Maybe you don’t… I don’t really know. The hardest part of the game thus far has been when I had to fight this fucker with a .50cal sniper rifle (for those of you who know guns, it was Barrett). Eventually I spent both pistols I had (funny part is I stole both of them from security guard zombies) and this NPC Brad shot him down to no health, but it turns out I had to deliver the final blow. This is shitty because I was out of ammo and this Carlito fucker either runs away from you when you rush him and then drops a grenade, then shoots you. I eventually got really lucky and landed a jump kick on him. The zombies aren’t really an issue as they are… well, zombies. There are thousands of them, but they are slow and stupid. When they crowd together, that can be a problem, but if you have a good weapon, like a baseball bat, you can deal with it. The shitty thing about the game is that you can only use the weapons for a limited time. Naturally, pistols and other projectile weapons run out of ammo, but melee weapons like baseball bats, sledgehammers, lead pipes, 2 x 4s, guitars, hedge trimmers, battle axes, katanas, etc. “break” after a while of use. That I don’t like but of course I have to deal with it and there are no lack of weapons laying around. You can go into pretty much any store in the mall and find a weapon. So, if any of you have a 360, check out Dead Rising… it is awesome, though only 1 player. So if you are stuck in a mall and don’t want to be there… remember, it could be much worse… or much cooler, it’s up to interpretation. ;)
In other news… I have started classes. I will pass these classes with no problems whatsoever. I just need to actually feel like dealing with the class. I hate how pretentious US History professors are. US History is, historically (lol), a freshman class so the professors feel like they need to be a total ass while retaining much of the high school mentality. NO COLLEGE COURSE SHOULD HAVE A SEATING CHART. You should be able to go into the classroom and sit where ever the damn well please. That is all.
So, they finally ruled on Pluto. BOOOOOOOOOOO!
Checkout a site called Wikimapia. You can add places of interest to the map. I thought that was quite neat.
I am sick and fucking tired of people bitching about problems that are equally their fault. I watched this episode of Scrubs (awesome show, btw) with Michael J Fox in it. He played an OCD doctor. It worked very well with the, you know, Parkinson’s Disease. In this episode, Mr. Fox gave us, the audience, the lesson that baselessly blaming your problems on someone else is fucking terrible. Once you look at the episode the same way I do, you realize that a lot of things that people bitch about are totally baseless. So, I have decided to take a harsh, if necessary, stand on this issue. If I feel you are baselessly blaming your shitty time on something other than yourself, you will get yelled at by me. Check out Steve’s MySpace, there’s an example. Oh, and I will, from now on, yell at you if you disrespect any faith. I am an Atheist, but I respect what someone else believes because I acknowledge that neither of us can prove it definitively either way. I have the firm belief that if everyone has at least an initial respect for everyone else, life would be much better. Now, if someone gives you a good reason for disliking them, then go for it. For example, I don’t like Brett or Tim because both of them have insulted me on a level that is unforgivable. I will not go into it because that would be placing my issues unjustly on you guys. Regardless, I have made my principles known. Agree or disagree, I don’t really care.
My car was officially totaled. Lexy’s Beetle it turns out LITERALLY threw a sparkplug. It shot the sparkplug so hard out of it’s seat that it cracked the engine block when it hit it. The auto repair place called a VW dealer and asked about the sparkplug thing and the reaction they got from the VW dealer was, “They can do that?” Yeah. Then my parents came home to their place yesterday to find their water main sprung a leak. Not bad, from what I understood, but still pretty shitty.
In other news I went to a Reel Big Fish/MXPX show last night at The Blue Note with Lexy, John, Steve, Adam, Sarah, and Darrel. It was a pretty good show, especially the two ska bands, one being a name I can’t remember, the other, of course, being Reel Big Fish. I found out that I don’t really like MXPX, but John pointed out they are really good for crowd participation, so I had to give him that one. I mean, their singer/bassist roamed the crowd playing his bass guitar during part of one song. Then we went to IHOP, had some decent food, and we came home to Warrensburg. Nothing bad happened. I was a little surprised. Well, apparently Sarah went full-blown bitch on the ride from the Blue Note to IHOP, but that’s about it. All in all, a good night.
In sad news, I will be posting a link that may make some of you really sad. I made me sad, but kinda happy too.

So much shit has happened in the past two days. Monday, my car gets into a serious accident. I wasn’t in the car, Lexy was driving back from Columbia with Lacey. Some jackass in an uninsured Porshe is going way too fast and BAM! Nobody important was hurt, Lexy’s a little scratched and banged, Lacey has a neck brace, but overall, just shaken is all. The fucker in the Porsche died, so like I said, nobody important was hurt. I’m a very angry person by nature.
Now, on the way back from KC, Lexy’s Beetle breaks down and from what I can tell, breaks down hard. We’ll have to see, but it looks like Lexy’s getting rid of the Beetle. It’s really been more trouble than it’s been worth. My car is most likely getting the totaled stamp and I’m not too happy about that, but I’ll live with it. Thankfully, my parents fucking rock and are letting us borrow one of their cars for now. I guess all this crap is a result of counterbalance. We had a good time in Milwaukee and Louisville, nothing went wrong on either trip, so things have to go wrong now. I fucking hate chance and luck. Well, I was going to go to a concert today (Wednesday), but I don’t think it would be a good idea. After all the driving and car related issues, I think I should keep it down for a while. Well, I’m off, just thought I should let those who don’t know know.
Yup, I went out of town again. Only this time, I left Friday and got back last night. Well, technically this morning, but I slept since then so it counts as last night. We drove eight hours to see the Frazier Museum and the Louisville Science Centre. Both were pretty cool. We got started out late on Friday so didn’t hit our hotel until around 6am. Thankfully the hotel had a 24 hour front desk and we called to tell them we’d be there after midnight and they let us have a late checkout, so it was a pretty good deal. The Frazier Museum is pretty cool because it’s the only place in the US that has medieval armour. They had some cool stuff and if you are ever in Louisville, check it out. After the Science Centre, which was a Science Centre and pretty cool, we went to Lynn’s Paradise Cafe. This place is a fucking hippy restaurant started and run by, you guessed it, hippies. So, why would John, Holly, Lexy, and I go to a hippy restaurant? Because Lexy HAD to get a Kentucky Hot Brown. That’s right… Kentucky Hot Brown. Sad thing is it wasn’t brown at all and looked really gross. Lexy liked it though, so I suppose it was worth it. Regardless of the Hot Brown, the place was REALLY expensive for what you got. I mean John, Holly, and I all got 1/2 lb burgers that cost $9. The burger was ok, but I got really disgruntled when I only got 4 onion rings. I didn’t bitch about it because they were pretty crappy onion rings. Holly liked her mashed potatoes and John thought his fries were ok, so I suppose that was worth it. Then there was the drive home. During the 16 hours of driving we hit three traffic jams. Two going and one returning. Two of the three weren’t that bad, but the second traffic jam we hit was fucking terrible. We cross the Ohio River into Kentucky and BAM, dead stop on the highway. I wait there for a while thinking it would get moving soon, but it doesn’t. So, I was just back enough in line that I got the idea to hit the ramp onto another interstate, turn around, and hit our original highway. Turns out a lot of other people had the same idea. So we were stuck for about a half hour. Then people started backing up the entrance ramp on the shoulders. This pisses me off. It just exacerbates the situation and you don’t get anywhere. Then this fucker in front of me tries to back down the shoulder on my side of the road. I say no and pull into the shoulder blocking him. The guy keeps backing up, apparently thinking I’m gonna move. HA! I bleep a short honk at him, he stops sticks his head out the window, I flip him off, he flips me off, and he pulls forward a bit. Then he gets out of the car and comes up to my window, I roll my window down and he asks, “You wanna move your car for me.” I retort short, sweet, and too the point, “No.” He leaves and may or may not have spit on my car, but oh well nothing damaging happened. The guy gets back into his car and pulls back into his original place in line. Apparently John had his knife out and ready to lunge if things went back. Luckily the guy decided it wasn’t worth fighting over and I do thank him for that. Ironic thing is no more than 5 minutes later things get moving. Slow, yes, but it’s movement. Turns out traffic was stopped because a motorcyclist crashed and burned on the highway. We saw a pair of bloody pants, a bloody shirt and a motorcycle. Presumably the cyclist himself was off to a hospital. It was an interesting experience and all the traffic jams showed me that people are so fucking stupid. They don’t pay attention to road signs and go blazing down the closed lanes thinking people will let them in in the last minute. The thing that pisses me off the most is that people do let them in. I just hate people so much. Well, that’s about all on my side.
Yeah, I do admit that I haven’t posted in a while because I’ve finally been accepted as a Luftwaffe officer in the High Command of the Axis Forces of World War II Online. Sadly, I haven’t been able to get things settled so I actually have my ingame rank and HC tools, but they are coming I’m told. The CO of the Luftwaffe just happened across my sig and didn’t realize I was in the LW HC. Thankfully, I gave him the info he wanted and told me he was going to fix it. Yay!! Soon I will be able to do all the bureaucratic crap that comes with being an HC officer.
The real reason I’m updating is much, much more serious however. It turns out that my preconceived notions about my relationship with Kat were quite true. It turns out that she DID cheat on me and apparently, extensively. I don’t need to tell any of you about that, now do I? Yeah, pretty much EVERYONE knows that Kat cheated on me except the person who should know… ME!! That’s the real reason I’m not in bed trying to get some sleep. I was already in bed once tonight trying to sleep, but I just couldn’t stop thinking about how misled I was. How she told me I was too jealous and controlling, but it turns out that I wasn’t jealous and controlling enough. You which one bothers me the most? The fact she fucked around with Joey while we were together. That makes me REALLY suspicious about who else I know she fucked. I am so damn torn in wanting to know and being too scared to know. I’m sure I want to know, but is it worth it? Probably. I suppose the way I look at it is I should know so I can start to put it behind me and look at Kat as a friend, regardless of what she did to me. Am I pissed about it? Hell yeah I am. If anyone knows any info they can pass on to me on this subject, I would like to know. The whole “protecting” me thing just pisses me off and I REALLY hate it. I would rather know and get pissed than not know at all. Why you ask? Well mostly because I hate the idea of other people knowing more about me than I do. I think I’m gonna head to bed… again. I love you guys, stay cool. I plan on staying up to date even with the new HC stuff.
