Yeah, like I said… taken from nbcolympics.com. Well, that’s about all I have to say about that. I didn’t bother watching the Closing Ceremonies because John and I were supposed get together and do some celebratory drinking, but he never got ahold of me. Well, he did, but it wasn’t until about 15 minutes ago. Well, I think that we’re gonna go to the Berliner Bear next Sunday. It’s a German restaurant in KC. Speaking of which, we went to Olive Garden last night with Lexy’s relatives Mike and Mary. Really, they’re pretty much the only members of Lexy’s father’s side that I like. There are a couple of others who are okay, but Mike and Mary are just cool. It was fun and the shrimp and crab ravioli was pretty delicious as well the breadsticks and salad of course. Well, there are the final medals and there’s my current news. Have fun with that.

Germany Wins!!

I took a look at the total medal count today and Germany is up to 11 gold medals.  Now this medal count is from Torino directly, so by the time I checked it all of the events are done for today.  Apolo Anton Ohno, the only American I root for, did win gold in the Men’s 500m Short Track.  I am happy for him.  Bode Miller, the Alpine American favorite, stradled a gate on his first run in the Men’s Slalom.  Austria swept that event.  So right now, Austria and the US are tied with 9 gold medals.  Germany will go away from this Winter Olympics with more gold medals than anyone else.  The only two events remaining are Men’s 50km Cross Country and the Men’s Hockey Gold Medal game.  Germany has three athletes in the top 10 of the Cross Country so that is looking good.  The hockey game is between Finland and Sweden.  So, since America has NEVER medaled in a Cross Country event, it’s looking like Germany may beat the US by at least two gold medals and four total medals.  It is possible that Germany will take more, but I’m not keeping my hopes up too high.  The two events Germany golded in today were Men’s 15km Mass Start Biathlon and Four-Man Bobsleigh.  They also took Silver and Bronze in the Women’s 12.5km Mass Start Biathlon and Silver in the Women’s 5000m Speed Skate.  I will actually watch that footage tonight, but that’s about all I’d tell you guys anyway.  Well, I need to get off here and go to Olive Garden, so I’ll tell you guys the final and total medal count tomorrow.  Cya.

How about that?

Well, the figure skating had some very interesting results.  Sadly, Russia did not sweep all the figure skating events, but did medal in all four.  Sasha Cohen of the U.S. was a great contender for gold, but she didn’t win either.  So, you ask, who on Earth could have won?  Well… the Japanese.  That’s right, Japan’s Shizuka Arakawa won gold for Japan’s first ever medal in figure skating.  Silver went to Sasha Cohen, and Bronze to Irina Slutskaya.  Also, in another historic event, China won gold in the Men’s Freestyle Skiing Aerials.  Silver and Bronze went to Belarus and Russia, respectively.  Sweden took Gold in Women’s Curling, with Switzerland taking Silver and Canada winning the Bronze medal match.  In the Ladies’ Snowboard Parallel Giant Slalom, Switzerlan took Gold, Germany Silver, and USA Bronze.  The Swiss have been a dominant force in this sport for a while with a pair of brothers winning Gold and Silver in the Men’s Snowboard PGS.  In the Ladies’ 4×6km Biathlon Relay, Russia took Gold, Germany Silver, and France took Bronze.  With the sports left to compete in, I expect Germany to win at least one or two more gold medals.  The US might win maybe two more medals, but with the events coming up, it doesn’t look likely.  They may win the 5000m Relay on the Short Track, but on the Men’s 500m and Ladies’ 1000m I’m looking to the Koreans to accert their dominance.  There is the Speed Skating 10000m coming up as well and the US may win that, but one American in the running against the Dutch, it’s not looking good.  Personally, I would like to see Germany finish this Olympics like they have the past two Winter Games: with more gold medals than anyone else.  Why?  Well, I hate America for being so showy and self-centred and well, Germany’s a good choice.  I would root for Japan or Great Britain, but they have been notoriously poor in performance in the Winter Games.  Well, that’s all for tonight, I will let you all know what happens tomorrow.

How about some more Olympic summaries.

Well, in the past two days, I’ve been watching some pretty good Olympic footage.  The U.S. Women’s Curling team was knocked out of the running.  The men’s team lost to Canada in a Semi-Final match, so they will be fighting Great Britain for the Bronze.  That will be the third time the U.S. and GB will match up against eachother.  In the Women’s Two Man Bobsled, Germany took Gold as well as the Men’s 7.5km Biathlon Relay.  That puts Germany up to nine gold medals with Austria at eight and the U.S. tied with Russia at seven.  Honestly there have been too many things that have happened since Monday for me to keep you guys educated that far.  I will give you a detailed happening of what goes on tomorrow in case you guys care.  Tomorrow will be the Women’s Figure Skating Free Skate that will determine who gets the Gold.  Personally, U.S.’s Sasha Cohen looks good, but I think the Russian Irina Slutskaya looks better.  According to the American announcers, the Russians thrive under the new scoring system, but I think it’s because the Russians are just too damn good.  When the free skate happens tomorrow night, I expect the Russians to have swept gold in all the figure skating events.  Unfortunately, there are only four days of games left and then we have to wait two years to watch the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.  Well, I think I’m done for tonight… I really should just watch the movie I put in.  Check out my review of the Torino 2006 video game I’ve been playing.  Peace.

A crappy V-Con

Yeah, so I’m back from VisionCon.  It wasn’t very good at all.  The LARP was full of just stupid bullshit that never materialized into anything.  So, it was watching the Short Track that really set it off I think.  I started watching the short track at 7pm, ( I was gonna start watching at midnight, but a ref was a douchebad, so I left) while John and Steve did… something.  Anyway, after the Short Track competition, John calls the room and we go over to help them on a puzzle.  Well, when I get there, Mike hops into the group around the paper, so really there’s no way for me to help as there is no room.  So, then this other guy comes in and they give him the paper to look at and start solving the problem the same damn way I proposed to solve it.  Well, I wasn’t needed, so I left.  Later, we all hung out in the room for a while, when John and Steve (see a pattern here?) went to the Mass Combat on the Really Bad Thing that happens every Con.  I wanted my character to survive another con and since I’m really well rounded (which means that I’m not really good at any one thing , well other than my Political and Business Influences that is) I have a 50% chance of hitting on a d20.  I think Steve has a better chance, which is why he was bragging about the two shots he succeeded on.  Well, after the mass combat, Steve returned to the room, while John went… somewhere and didn’t bother seeing if we’d like to go.  I know that he left the hotel because when I woke up this morning he had a 2L bottle of Black Cherry Vanilla Coke.  So… officially… I’m kinda pissed that I spent all that money getting the hotel room and stuff and I really wasn’t a part of the group.  I hate being third wheeled and it seems to happen a lot.

Well, in Olympic News, Apolo Anton Ohno got Bronze behind two Koreans in the 1000m Short Track.

That’s all I’ve got today so I’m gonna watch some TV and eat the Arby’s Lexy was cool enough to go running out to get for me.

One last post before Con.

Well, welcome to another version of my Olympic footage recap in case some of you care and are interested on today’s goings ons.  Why you guys can’t just go to www.torino2006.org and see for yourself… well, I like to think that you guys just love me that much.

Today’s footage started off with the Women’s 7.5km Biathlon Sprint.  Four Germans covered by NBC didn’t do so well, but here are there stats:

Uschi Disl               1 - 2   time: 24:29.1
Katrin Apel            1 - 1   time: 24:04.9
Martina Glagow     0 - 1   time: 23:35.9
Kati Wilhelm           0 - 1   time: 22:49.8

The times are they’re finishing times and the # - # are the number of shots they missed out of five on each shooting station.  Overall, Kati Wilhelm was in 7th at the end.  The medals for that event went as follows:

Gold - France Florence Baverel-Robert
Silver - Sweden Anna Carin Olofsson
Bronze - Ukraine Lilia Efremova

After the Biathlon, the Men’s Nordic Combined Team finals finished soon after, so I got to watch the tail end of that too.  Austria had a very good final few hundred metres with Germany pulling up Silver and Finland pulling in Bronze.  The U.S. Women’s Curling Team lost another match, this time to Sweden.  The match went into an 11th End where Sweden barely pulled it out to win by one.  In an Olympic Debut, Snowboard Cross makes it’s way into our television sets.  It’s an interesting sport that is much akin to motocross on snowboards.  Of course it is on snow track, but there are many curves and bumps the racers must make their way around and over.  Well, since it’s a snowboarding event, you can imagine who won the gold medal.  Now, it wasn’t as much of a shoo-in that you might think it would be.  In fact, the Silver medalist Slovakia was actually cheated out of his Gold medal.  Why you ask?  Well, how about the U.S. rider grabbed the Slovakian rider by the jersey and pulled him behind him.  Not to mention slapping him in the face as he passed and did a dirty board slide to force the Slovakian to slow down himself.  The U.S. rider was a dirty cheater and should have been DQed in earlier rounds for showboating.  In Men’s Figure Skating, Russian Evgeni Plushenko was the first skater of the second group and when he was finished, his scores were so high no other skater could catch him.  His final score after the Short Program and Free Skate was an astonishing 258.33.  His scores in both Technical Elements and Program Composition were both above 80 points with Technical at a little over 85.  To give you an idea of what that means, among the other competitors, the highest score for either or both categories was 75.  The average score tended to be 60 Tech Elem. and 70 Program Comp.  The next highest total score was 231.21 by Swiss Stephane Lambiel.  Jeffrey Buttle of Canada pulled in Bronze with a 227.59.  Plushenko was later interviewed saying that he has one more Olympic attempt in him, so he will be at the 2008 Montreal Games.  I expect new and unprecedented tricks to arise in his repertoire in the next few years.  Expect him to retire in 2008 with another gold medal.  In Women’s Skeleton, Swiss Maya Pedersen won gold by a total of 1.23s (which is a lot in a fast-speed sport like Skeleton).  Shelley Rudman of Great Britain and Mellisa Hollingsworth-Richards of Canada won Silver and Bronze.  It was disappointing to see Germany pop down to fourth, but really, I am proud of Great Britain, they don’t win a lot of medals, so when they do, I root for them.  Look for Britain to take home a gold or silver in Men’s and Women’s Curling.  They have really good teams this year.  In Team Pursuit Speed Skating, both gender finals were on late tonight, which made me kind of mad.  I actually to wait for live TV to show the races and they didn’t even show the B Finals for either gender.  I can fucking guarantee they would have it the U.S. would have been in Bronze contention.  I wanted to see Russia overtake Japan for the Bronze in the Ladies run.  Well, the Ladies Finals went to Germany for the gold and Canada got Silver.  For the Men, Italy defeated Canada in the A Final for the Gold.  The B Final went to the Netherlands for defeating Norway by well more than a second.

Now for further news.  I will not be able to watch the Olympics over the next few days, so I will not be updating this.  I will watch the Men’s Short Track 1000m on Saturday, but after a look at what’s coming up… I’m not too concerned about what I’ll be missing.  However, like I said earlier, I will be a VERY grumpy boy if I miss the 1000m Finals on Saturday.  If I miss the 7pm broadcast, OK I’ll deal, but if I miss the midnight broadcast as well… there will be blood.  As many of you know, I am going to a LARP at VisionCon and I am leaving tomorrow.  There will be four of us in the hotel room.  John, Steve, Mike, and I are all going to be together for a while so you can imagine the high jinx that will ensue.  Well, Aufwiedersehen and I will let you know how V-Con went.

Yesterday’s Results… Boy, you guys have to be getting tired of these titles.

Well, it’s gonna be a little difficult to remember all the shit I watched yesterday, but I think I can get most of it.  Okay, I watched the U.S. women take on Denmark in Curling.  Something interesting about Denmark’s Women Curling team, it’s the only Danish team in this year’s Olympics.  The reason for this is because the Danish Olympic Commitee is so strict, the women’s curling team is the only team to qualify under their regulations.  Anyway, the U.S. Women defeated the Danes 8-3.  Then, I watched the Men’s U.S. Team get their asses handed to them by the Italian Curling team.  The game wasn’t very far apart, but the Italians got an early lead and held it throughout the entire game.  The final score in that match was 6-5.  It was a pretty good game.  In a new sport, Speed Skating Pursuit, the Canandian Women’s team beat the pants off the U.S. team, sending Canada to the Semi-Finals and setting a new women’s Olympic record in the sport.  The Semi-finals start list is Canada takes on Japan in Race 1 with Russia taking on Germany in Race 2.  I know for a fact that Canada will defeat Japan by at least 2-3 seconds.  As for the Germany/Russia match… I’m not so sure, the Germans looked very strong in the quarters, but so did the Russians, though not as strong as the German team.  In the men’s Team Pursuit, the semi-finals will be Italy vs. Netherlands in Race 1 and Canada taking on Norway in Race 2.  I really can’t put any bets down on that right now as all four of those teams are very strong competitors.  In the Men’s Freestyle Moguls, Australia took gold with Finland and the U.S. in Silver and Bronze.  The Australian skiier threw down a very nice run with some excellent aerials, not to mention his mogul turns and landings were damn near perfect.  We also watched some Short Track Speed Skating, the Women’s 500m Finals were pretty exciting, but really when China pushed into first right off the line, I knew that China would win.  The medals went Gold to China, Silver to Bulgaria, and Canada with Bronze. In the Men’s 1000m Short Track, the following teams made it to the Quarter Finals.  China, Italy, Slovakia, and the U.S. in Race 1, Race 2 is U.S.’s own Apolo Anton Ohno, Ahn Hyun-Soo of Korea, Poland and Germany.  Race 2 is going to be intense, if you can, catch that on Saturday, February 18 at 7pm on your local NBC station.  Race 3 had China, Hungary, Canada, Japan, and Belgium.  Race 4 will pit the Ukrain, Germany, Korea, and Canada against eachother.  I will almost guarantee that both Koreans, the Chinese, at least Apolo Anton Ohno, maybe a German, and Italian, and Ukraine will make it into the Semis.  Like I said, Race 2 will be a thing to watch, the two biggest rivals in Short Track are Apolo Anton Ohno and Ahn Hyun-Soo.  Since they are up against eachother in the same Quarter match, expect the two of them to finish first and second, but I can’t begin to figure out who will win.  The tactics styles of each of them are different.  The Koreans will wait until there are 2 or 3 laps left and come out of their draft and outside pass on every turn and straight.  Apolo will start off hanging back in second or third and he will pull ahead in lap 5 or 6 with an inside pass on the back turn.  Now what will happen when the Korean and Apolo get up to first and second… well my golf handicap could go down.  That’s how much I know what will happen.  Anything could happen with Apolo and Ahn Hyun-Soo get close to eachother.  In Men’s Doubles Luge, Austria took gold with Germany taking Silver and Italy taking Bronze.  In Ladies Alpine Downhill, the Austrian’s took Gold with the Swiss and Swedes taking Silver and Bronze.  The silver and bronze medalists didn’t even come close to the training of the Austrian Michaela Dorfmeister.  Switzerland’s Martina Schild finished over a third of a second over and Sweden’s Anja Paerson finished over two thirds of a second over.  The one German performed better than every Americna in the event.  On a final note, I took a look at the medal standings over on nbcolympics.com and currently Norway has the most total medals, but Germany is A number 1 with 5 gold medals.  The U.S. does have six, but the Men’s 15km Crosss Country Skiing, 12.5km Pursuit Biathlon and Women’s 10km Pursuit Biathlon is coming up.  Germany has always been a good contender in those events.  I expect to see Germany at least have as many medals as the U.S. if not exceed them.  Well, expect another update later tonight after I watch more Olympic footage.  Boy, the hotel VisionCon is held at better have an NBC station because if I miss the Men’s 1000m Short Track, I will flip out.

Another Day of Olympics

There was a good deal of Olympic footage to go over today.  First off was the Men’s 10km Biathlon Sprint.  The one American Jay Hakinnen in the 90 skiier lineup blew his chances for any medal after missing all five shots on the first shooting station.  To be honest, I laughed… a lot.  A big German hopeful, Michael Greis unfortunately did not medal at all after missing a total of six shots, resulting in an extra 600m in penalty laps.  The gold medalist was a German, Sven Fischer shot totally clean and took less time on both shooting stations than Jay Hakinnen took on his first.  It was the most amazing series of shots and skiing I’ve ever seen.  Following that, I watched the U.S. women take on the Japanese women in Curling.  It was actually a pretty intense game with some amazing curls.  Japan beat the U.S. in the overtime 11th End, forcing the U.S. Women’s team to 0-3.  It was satisfying to see the Japanese succeed in a winter sport for once.  In the Men’s Downhill Combined, American Ted Ligety won gold because strong favorite Austrian Benjamin Raich stradled a marker on the Slalom and DQed himself.  Raich actually admitted he stradled and took himself out, unlike American Bode Miller who stradled a marker and hoped nobody would notice.  Upon some research, the German ladies swept the Women’s Singles Luge which puts Germany up to four gold medals, one behind America.  Go Germany!!  In the Men’s Short Program Figure Skating, Russian Evgeny Plushenko is in the lead by nearly 11 points going into Freestyle Skate.  He currently holds the highest individual score ever recorded under the new scoring system and holds the his spot as strong favorite for gold in Men’s Single Figure Skating.  In Women’s Speed Skating 500m, Russian Svetlana Zhurova won Gold by a small margin of 0.21 seconds making her the oldest gold medalist in these 2006 games.  Silver and Bronze were won by Chinese Wang Manli and Ren Hui respectively.  German Jenny Wolf had a good chance, but both of her runs fell apart in the final 100m.

In other news, I’ve received a lot of positive feedback for my previous post.  I find that actually very interesting.  Apparently a lot of people liked how I expressed myself and how I felt.  I find that interesting as that’s pretty much how I post an entry all the time.  Kaly and I apparently had the same-ish idea to either tell off (as I mostly did) or tell others how they think of them (Kaly’s approach).  I find that pretty interesting as we haven’t talked to eachother in a long time.  Honestly, I have to say that Kaly is one of my better friends.  Not a best friend to be sure (I’m sure she will agree), but a good friend.  It’s one of those friendships that neither of us need to keep up, it’s just kind of there.  She’s one of those friends that I could just turn to on a moment’s notice and get her opinion on something.  I’ve always kinda cherished that.  We’ve been friends since high school and maintains the longest record for a friend I currently have, so give her an applause for that.  All right enough about her, I’m sure she doesn’t want to read so much about her own self.  Well, I’m off to bed.  Aufwiedersehen.

A Short (or Very Long) Addition

Damn, motherfucking Deepest Sender got rid of my post I was working on.

Oh well.  Well, here I am sitting here for the second time typing out my frustrations with the people who just plain ole piss me off.  I just got finished watched over ten hours of Olympic footage which consisted mostly of Curling.  So, here’s my report of what I watched today:

First we started off with Curling.  The U.S. versus Norway was a match that Norway lost due to just poor playing and luck.  After that, the Women’s 15km Biathlon was pretty exciting with Russia winning the top two medals and Germany winning Bronze.  The two Russians missed one shot apiece with Germany missing two.  Next, we had more Curling.  The U.S. played against Finland and the U.S. lost by one point in the 10th End.  Then the Men’s 500m Speed Skating was won by the U.S. with Russia and Korea winning Silver and Bronze respectively.  Following Speed Skating, there was some Women’s Snowboard Halfpipe, which I am very convinced needs a revamping of judging.  There is no consistancy at all.  Finally, there was the Pairs Figure Skating long program.  In the end, Russia won gold followed by China for Silver and Bronze.  The Silver medalists, Dan and Hao Zhang tried an amazing throw quadruple salchow and Dan Zhang didn’t complete her final spin and landed on her knees.  There was a short timeout while her and her coaches decided if she could continue skating the rest of the program.  She decided she could continue and their program was started again from the point at which she fell.  When the team was scored, deductions were only taken for the fall and not the rest, which I totally agree with.  During a replay of Dan Zhang’s fall, my roommate Steve came through the living room and when he heard someone fell he said, “That’s what that bitch gets.”  Now, maybe he didn’t know what he was referring to and was just trying to be funny.  Here’s my problem, be a decent human being and have some fucking respect for someone trying an unprecedented trick.  Yeah, I’d like to see you get thrown four or five feet in the air, land on skating ice on your knees, and slide for another three or four feet.  Now, get up and continue your program for the five remaining minutes.  It’s not that I don’t like people being funny, I dislike people making fun of someone and not really knowing what the fuck they’re talking about.  Yeah, so a figure skater fell, but if you don’t know why she fell, it’s not funny.  Man, I remember back in the day when Mike and I would watch the Olympics and tennis.  We didn’t make fun of people just because they fell, it happens.  We understand the sports, of course Mike understands Figure Skating much more that I do, but I would wager money I understand the board sports better.  That doesn’t matter though.  I just makes me mad that some dumbass Americans can look at a sport they don’t understand and expect the performers of that sport to be perfect.  That’s what makes competition so competitive, sometimes circumstances outside of your control make you fuck up.  Yeah, I guess I’m explaining something that you guys don’t really give a shit about, though you have to admit… that’s what I do.  Maybe I get mad about things that most people think of as trivial, but come on there are things that just make you made for no real reason.  I just happen to believe that most people should be decent human beings and respect the work people put into whatever they’re doing.

That brings me to another topic.  What happened to all of my friends?  I mean… Jesus the ones I still have are hardly worth keeping.  Dawn doesn’t really appear to give a shit anymore, Steve’s just turning into a total fuckface, Adam doesn’t really come up to Warrensburg to see anyone else but Steve, and to top it all off, any conversations that I do have with anyone is just bullshit.  I require mental stimulation about things other than World War II, World War II Online, Fallschirmjager reenacting, and other assorted games.  God, I need something that will actually make me think and be analytical.  I guess that’s why I watch the Olympics, it’s full of sports that require skill and mental aptitude.  I’ve lost so many damn friends over the years that it makes me wonder if I’m doing something wrong.  Is it really my fault that most of the friends that had were total burnouts, dopeheads, drunks, fuckfaces, and/or douchebags?  I mean, I would be more than happy to refriend someone if they would just apologize for being any list of adjectives they happened to be.  And you guys wonder why I’m such a cynical bastard.  Really, I can be a nice guy if people weren’t such douchebags to me.  Eh, what do you care, nobody’s gonna read this anyway.

While I’m thinking of it, there’s (more than) a few “Fuck You”s I’d like to hand out.

Rio:  Fuck you for being a conniving, needy, slutty bitch.  Both to me and to Dave, especially to Dave.  You really fucked him up.  Thank God he found Natasha, I don’t care what Dave’s mom thinks of her, she’s the best that ever happened to him.  So fuck you.

Kat:  Fuck you for pretty much fucking me up.  Those needs that you had that I couldn’t fulfill, well honestly, fuck that too.  It really fucks up a guy like me to find out that his three year long relationship was ended because you were bored.  Those two weeks you were cheating on me, fuck them.  The fact that you’re a stripper, fuck that.  It would have been so much better if you had told me all that shit as you were breaking up with me.  Fuck the fact you were bored and disgusted with me.  I was a fucking wreck for a lot longer than a lot of people think I was, so fuck you for that too.

Lacey:  Fuck you for becoming a self-conceited drunken dopehead who felt she was so much better than everyone else she had to correct their grammar in mid-sentence.  Fuck the fact that you express friendship and love in a different way than everyone else that breathes air.  Fuck you for needing to be different because you were too similar.  Royally fuck you for getting angry when we wanted you to see our new apartment.  Fuck you for making me hate you.  You were one of my best friends.  We shared water, so fuck you for forsaking that.  Then fuck you for hurting your water brother.

Jer:  Fuck you for being a douchebag who can’t assimilate his friends.  Fuck you for replacing your old friends with new ones and never getting in contact with your old friends.  Fuck you most of all for never being there when you needed me.  Fuck you very most of all for never thanking me for visiting you every chance I got.  Fuck you for never standing up for yourself.

Jason:  Fuck you for being a fucking hippy, drug-addict, flakey motherfucker who could never get his fucking life straight.  Fuck you for fucking every 15-year old girl you could find.  Fuck you for acting like you were so much better than the rest of us.  Fuck you for never being sober enough to think about calling your friends when you were in town.  Fuck you for never telling your friends where you were moving to.

Joey:  Fuck you for being so damn unstable and malleable by the people who surround you.

Joe Knife: Fuck you for hitting on every female you presumed had a vagina and a few you weren’t too sure about.  Fuck you for acting like you were so smooth and knew everything about everything.  Fuck you for being a complete and total definition of a shit-covered douchebag.

Steve:  Fuck you for being a douchebag.  You lived in the apartment rent-free for three and a half months and hardly ever helped out with chores.  Fuck you for waking up, sitting down on the couch and fucking around on your laptop while watching TV in your pajamas, then eventually going back to bed to start the cycle over again.  If you want to start the argument that I did the same thing… well that’s a road you don’t want to go down.  Fuck you for never thanking Lexy for allowing you to stay in the apartment without paying rent.  You only getting dressed in order to search for a job or go to John’s house without inviting me, fuck that.  For doing things with John that both of you know that I would enjoy doing with you, fuck that too.  You know, if you don’t want to hang out with me let me know.  I’ll tell you to go fuck yourself, but at least I’ll know.

George Walker Bush:  Fuck you for being a president who needed a war.  Fuck you for making the executive decision to go into Iraq as an act of war.  Fuck you for assisting the decline and fall of this country through both monetary and material means.  Fuck you for not submitting a Kyoto Protocol treaty for ratification because of the strain it would allegedly put onto the economy.  Fuck you for putting that same strain on the U.S.’s economy through your unnecessary military spending.

There’s a few other “Fuck You”s that I could hand out, but they’re pretty minor ones and not really worth saying.

Well, there you have it folks.  That’s about all that I could think of to type about right now.  Chances are, I’ll most likely tell you guys what happened after I watch another day of Olympic footage.  Happy Valentine’s Day.

The First of a Many Boring Entries.

So, you found your way here, eh?  Well, lemme tell you why I moved to LiveJournal.  Well, I have this nifty FireFox extension called Deep Sender that allows me to update without actually going to the LJ site.  That combines with this other extension called FoxyTunes that controls my Winamp without me having to switch to it.  It’s really handy because Deep Sender will detect what I’m listening to through FoxyTunes, so I don’t have to type in what I’m listening to.  The other reason I’m over here is because CMSU’s servers tend to be very inefficient and untrustworthy.  That’s the reason I haven’t updated recently, I couldn’t access the server to FTP my updated files.  So, I decided that LJ would be the best choice and if you guys feel like responding to my posts… well you can.  So there you go.

Well, what’s been going on?  I’ve been watching the XX Winter Olympics from Torino, Italy.  Germany has two gold medals so far in the 20km Biathalon and the Nordic Combined.  The U.S. is also at two golds in 3000m Speed Skating and Men’s Snowboard Halfpipe.  Now keep in mind that these might have changed since I last watched the Olympics, but I record them and watch them later in the day so I don’t have to listen to the stupid talking heads pretending to know what they’re talking about.  Last night was a bad night for U.S. Short Track Speed Skating and a good night for South Korea.  Apolo Anton Ohno was pushed out of the finals because of an honest mistake he made in the qualifying round.  He accidently touched the back of a Chinese skater’s skate and knocked himself off balance and back to fifth.  South Korea took gold and silver in the final round with China taking Bronze.  A couple of days ago when Germany won their gold medals, it was Michael Greis’s amazing skiing and more than amazing shooting that won him gold in the 20km Biathlon.  Hitting 19 of 20 targets and skating 20km in less than 45min… that’s a man.  In the Nordic Combined, Georg Hettich flew over 100m at the ski jump for the lead spot in the 14km cross country skiing to win the gold.  One U.S. winner is of mention and that’s Shaun White’s gold medal run.  Starting off with a HUGE frontside air into a big McTwist comboed with a frontside 1080 to a fakie 1080 into a nice frontside 900 to a backside 900.  The execution was perfect with nice pumps off the flats to grab him a 46.8 of 50 on his first run.  When nobody topped it, his second run was a victory lap.  One of the best halfpipe runs I’ve ever seen.  It’s also pretty sad that Michelle Kwan withdrew from competition after pulling her groin at a practice.

I think that’s enough of an Olympic update.  I think I’m gonna start snowboarding too.  Yeah, yeah, I got the idea from watching the Olympics and I have no delusions of being any good, but I think it’ll be fun.  It’s something that I’ve always wanted to do and since my sister started doing it, I want to do it even more.  Luckily there’s a decent slope near Kansas City, granted it’s a fake slope, but still a slope.  So if any of you ski or board and wanna join us sometime, well that’d be cool.  Looking at you Mike.  Well, that’s all for right now.  I might update before I go to VisionCon this weekend, but no promises.  I’ll at least give you a post-VisionCon report.  Aufwiedersehen.
